Zhangzhou Institute of Science and Technology (also referred to as ZIST), is located in the historic and cultural city, Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, China, which is about thirty minutes’drive to the downtown of Xiamen City. ZIST is a full-time vocational college and offers the three-year diploma. It passed the evaluation of the Ministry of Education and is authorized by the government of Fujian Province .

ZIST covers the area of over 1000 mu(1 mu is about 667 square meters), including the teaching area, the living area, and the factory school integrated teaching area. We have a high level team of faculty and staff, including 388 lecturers and 70 advanced professors. ZIST has Department of Media, Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering，Department of Business, Department of Architectural Engineering, Department Automotive, Department of Flight, Department of International Cooperation, Department of Adult Educational, Department of Basic Teaching, and Modern Educational Technology Center. It has more than 138 practical training bases around inside and outside the college, which cover majors such as electronics, mechanics, computer, architecture, automobile, accounting, marketing, logistics management, financial management, printing and package, and so on. These practical training bases have full-equipped facilities that can present real production processes.

ZIST is mainly for full-time students who are expected to graduate with a three-year junior college diploma. Meanwhile, we also offer a wide range of vocational skills training and accreditation. Students with excellent performance in study can further their study in four-year universities. The institute is run according to the standards set by the Ministry of Education. Moreover, with up-dated teaching models , we aim to equip the students with advanced vocational skills for their future career.

   

The employment of graduate implements three models that are self-employment, recommended employment and group employment. The positions of employment are distributed in well-known large and medium-sized enterprises around the world. With Fujian Kingcan Holdings Limited, Zijin Mining Group Co., Ltd., Lucky Horse Group, Malata Group and other large enterprises, ZIST implements the "order-type" training. Enterprises bear tuition fees of three years and help students achieve high-quality employments.
